Throttle body.

Hi, has anybody removed and cleaned there throttle body on there Audi A3 8p? If so, what cleaner did you use and is there any specific way of taking the body of. Thanks.

Brake cleaner, it cleans and evaporates.

As Lee says, always use this, scrape any larger pieces of, clean with brake cleaner, then use a dremel with wire wheel to clean all areas back to metal then brake cleaner afterwards.

Isn’t there something about not moving the flap unless you have vcds to reset it or am I mistaken?

You'll be fine, never did this on our 8P's.

I think I might be mixing this up with what I did, which was remove the tb for cleaning.
