Thinking of selling

Hi,

Does anyone have much knowledge about DSG boxes?

I'm considering selling my 04 1.8tq 190 and buying a locally advertised 59plate Passat R36 estate as i need more space, but it has a DSG box and as far as googling will tell they seem quite delicate, and expensive to repair.

The dealer offered £3650 for p/x by the way.. how much is realistic selling private?

If your excepting 3650 I'm sure they will make 2k on top of that m8 !!! Don't do it...

dsg are ace m8 they are expensive if they do go wrong but quite reliable now m8..

I just dont want the hassle of selling private, advertising etc, there is a nice S6 avant nearby too, both up for around £15k. Had a look at it this morning, looks fine but the buttons inside have started peeling! Is there an easy fix for this?
