Hold on - if its a new engine and has zero miles then surely it should be reset! As its not done any miles.

This is true spinstorm, however it's not just the engine, its wear on the car itself aswell. Bushes etc for example

Can confirm mileage will stay the same. Had a new engine in a Peugeot 307xsi years ago after 20k miles. Stamp in service book with comment that engine was changed at specified mileage and also a covering letter from Peugeot UK.
