Hi,

I have weird thing going on, the tailgate lock opens with wireless button, but most of the time not with the button on tailgate

i am not sure If I should replace this part> https://www.kunzmann.de/shop/en/rep...-button-audi-a3-a4-a5-a6-a8-original-audi.htm

or the problem is with the motor of the lock itself, to be 100% sure

how to troubleshoot such problem?

Hi mj,

I have exactly same problem on my 2006 A3 8P 2.0T.

I had that part (handle and switch) replaced once, it lasted for a couple of years and then back to opening my trunk either with the fob or the button in driver’s door.

Just like you I am hoping to get some answers here.

Mine will only open via remote but I have central locking issues at the moment so it may be down to that.
