Genuine Audi A6 2002-2005 alloy wheels 7JX16H2 ET45

I know you don't like stock 16" alloys but I already have 16" tyres so I wanna buy exclusively 16" genuine Audi alloys. So, which one of these here and above alloys you would choose?

If I were so determined to buy 16 inch wheels, I'd choose something of newer design. When I bought my A3, there were installed (as on 90% of all A3s in DK) these wheels: 8P0601025AN. They look good and not outdated.

I added 5mm spacers to the 18X8J ET50 rotors which made the effective ET45. I few pics are below.

5mm hubcentric spacer
18x8J ET50 plus 5mm spacers front

Just got a '12 hatchback. I have the stock 17" alloy wheels. A friend of mine has some 18" A5 wheels. Will I be able to run these on my A3 without any rubbing?
Didn't want to start a new thread, hope I am posting this in the right place.

You need to find out the ET which is the offset from the hub, the less it is the further from the hub the wheel sits, the smallest offset for the A3 is ET40 with 225 tires, the A5 will most probably have 255 or 245 tires and they will most definitely scrub especially with a smaller offset, if the wheels are ET32 you will have to run a stretch on the tires, say 215s to pull the tire in, this has its problems as the rim width that the tire sits on may be 8.5j or 9j of which wont be suitable for a 215 tire and have safety and reliability problems at speed.
Also you have to check bore size, thats the hole size that sits on the hub, this may be larger and will need a reducer ring to fit correctly and stop the wheel from moving on the hub.

Finally got some coils in the post and wheels ready to go on but a little advice is better than none and a guess... so the wheels are 18" 8.5j front and rear 9.5j et40, what tire sizes won't rub? I know about the arch bolts need to be taken out to, I will need a bit of stretch but nothing to crazy, anyone else running something along these lines?

I'd say 215/35/18 you would be ok, might need to camber rear negative.. depends how low you go. You will not like the ride though ! 215/35's you can feel leafs!

I’m looking for some 19” Rotors for my S3.

The RS3 19” are 8J ET50 (8P0601025BC)

Would TTRS 19” 9Jx19H2 ET52 (8J0601025) fit or would they be too wide?

I guess I’m more worried that they’ll foul the suspension: http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...ct2=35&wheel_size=19&wheel_width=9&offset2=52

Thanks All,
Sam

Recommend RS3 Rotors (see my build thread). Yes the TTRS Rotors will prob be too wide. They have the deep concave design and may poke out past the arches (MOT fail) or yes catch the arches especially if yours is lowered

Found a good deal on some Konig Rennforms for my '12 A3.
SIZE: 18x8
BOLT PATTERN: 5x112
OFFSET: +45mm
HUB BORE: 66.56
BACKSPACING: 6.27"
Does this sound right to you guys? Also what tire size would you recommend for this setup?

It sounds right. 225/40R18 tyres would fit without issues. 235/40R18 may rub if you lowered too much.

Cheers Mate, kept the bentleys on most of the time last year, but its not fair on the misses as she only frets about kerbing them,so now refurbed
gonna just run them now and again.
Yeah went colour coded an had outers stripped and polished for a better shine, but not so easy to keep clean.
Also got full turbo back milltech to go on tonight :icon_thumright:
Any chance of some pics. Ones on the forum arnt working due to photobucket

I’m looking at a set of MTM Bimoto alloys for my S3. The size is 19x8.5 ET50. At 8.5”, would they be too wide?

C2B606D0 9DD3 4D0B 87DE 5C1A74B7256D

Alternatively, Oz Supertursimo GT, 19x8 ET48

FB7E3245 7808 466B AA55 862BF6440462

I’d look to go with 225-35-19 tyres.

Thanks for your help!

I really hate the 8.5 wheel with a 225. too much stretch for my liking. aftermarket manufacturers love the 8.5. I guess they want to have the tweener option so more cars can purchase the wheels. 19x8 is great option for the 225 and fits the 235 perfect with the rim protector. I wanted the mtm's but the 8.5 sunk the deal

Good choice! Got some pics with the new wheels on?

I like the wheels. Are you planning any lowering?

Yeah, not sure weather to get some coil overs, I’d love it sitting lower at the back at least. Hate the look of the arch gap. Any advice?

nice whip. Those star caps are unfortunately not color matched. Take them apart and remove the ring and the 4 rings and paint the rest gloss black then reassemble. Just a thought

Tell me about it. You can get some Gun metal ones but I just got them. They do kind of match the chrome accents on the Wheel itself but it does annoy me haha!

You think something like this would be better than a darker Grey?
