Not wishing to gloat, well maybe a bit, but Perth spring for a slap up lunch at a nearby restaurant.

Collection at 1pm so leaving shortly, 1.2 Polo (which I've been confined to for the last month) for the 60 mile trudge up, SQ5 plus for the blast back, don't suppose there'll be much difference!

I have a better specced car imho, and they have just taken delivery of a TT Roadster at the perfect time

@SW14NY'S how exactly does 'clean but unprepped' work? Can you let me know what they did or didn't do please? Only asking as it's similar to what I'd like, but expecting them to say "how can we clean it if you don't want us to prepare it?"

I got them to take off the protective wrapping and the glue residue that's left behind, this was when they would clean it. I told them that I would accept minimal cobweb marks on the paintwork but nothing heavier. The interior was basically left as it came with all seat and trim protection left in place and mats were in the boot.
They did say they have never handed over a car like this before but we're happy to do so.

I have just been to my detailer who has given it a quick once over and confirmed that so far it looks good

Looking good mate, I was talking to an Audi sales guy last week about the silver/white leather. He said it's easy enough to keep clean by regularly wiping the seats etc. BUT if you wear jeans a lot, make sure you put some protections over the seats....more so on the stitching, he said once muck/dye is on the stitching it's a swine to get off!

Ahh okay that makes sense! After that was done and glue removed, I guess it is reasonably clean and shiny? Sure seems it in the pics.

Mine is Lunar Leather/Alcantara and is getting sealed with Gtechniq l1 Smartfibre so hopefully this will stop any colour transfer...I'm hoping anyway

That colour certainly 'pops' in the sun IMO

I don't envy you trying to keep that interior clean mind lol I have black leather/alcantara in my S4 and love it

I selected this colour blind as I had never seen it in person....I'm not disappointed it got a lot of attention today.

I had black Alcantara/Leather in both my TT's as well, I also don't envy me keeping this clean but it does look stunning

You should be fine, I had silver alcantara in my previous 8P A3 & only thing to watch are things like black belts rubbing against the leather side bolsters, but as you're getting Gtechniq treatment for them it should be ok.

This is the most stressed I have ever been whilst configuring my options and I think I have nailed it (apart from not specifying Privacy Glass) but that's on a different post if you care to follow my adventures on replacing the glass
