****** the 2004 Audi A4 1.8t BFB

Was driving home last week and managed to cook the engine! The garage says that could go for a new cylinder head or engine, either way its going to be expensive.

Its a 1.8t BFB engine 163, which seems to more expensive than the other VAG ones. Does anyone know if there are any other engines will go in with ease?

Any help appreciated, I called the garage but they've just knocked off for xmas!
