Hi All.

Im at a loss with my 2.0TFSI. its got erratic idling and i really dont know whats wrong with it.

symptoms: mainly happens when warmed up, the revs increase to around 1500 then drop and rise again randomly.

i cant imagine it having anything to do with it but when i turn the wheel when stationary the revs will drop back to normal then gradually increase again.

general work carried out on the car so far is:
PCV
DV
clutch switch
oil pick up
balance shaft bearing upgrade.

my mate is a mechanic and put it on his diagnostics and it came back with this

P0507 idle control speed too high(pretty vauge i know).

is there anything that could be causing this. its been checked for air leaks but unable to find one(not ruling this out though)

could it have anything to do with the fuel system? i am getting really poor fuel consumption and it seems to be using more than the mpg is indicating?

thanks for any help
