Hello all,
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, ?I have a 8L 2002 S3, It failed the MOT November 2021 on corroded rear brake lines, Leaking Power Steering cooling Pipe (replaced and fixed) and the Sills. I have the replacement sills as the MOT tester said where the car has been jacked, he could not determine if it was structural as he could not see so failed it anyway, I was told he is a **** as he then approached me to buy the car off me for £200 to ''take if off my hands''.
So I am up on the Isle of Skye, car would need trailered away, It has had bi xenon lights, loads of history, usual S3 refinements, full turbo back SS exhaust with a sports CAT (Great sound) It has been tuned to 280bhp and it flies. never crashed, had the passenger front wing replaced in 2020 after a low speed impact when parked, I am the 4 owner (1 a garage). Car has never wanted for anything and been serviced every year regardless of mileage. 4 Good all season tyres, Sony Double DIN headunit. I fitted a new Yuasa battery in August when it looked like I was getting work done but the work never got done as the guy ghosted me for getting the sills welded. I have a full set of Delphi front and rear discs and pads coming with the car. Got both keys and loads of paperwork and all garage receipts.
Am I completely wrong, I did hope to fix the car myself but I have had a cancer diagnosis and may be losing a leg, I won't be able to do anything to the car for the next 9-12 months and its too good to scrap, I have easily spent £8k on the car in the 6 years I have owned it.
S3 GUB number plate goes with the car.
I really have no clue what the car is worth in it's current state but I have the figure of £2500 in my head.
