Hey guys I've just recently bought a a3 tdi 170 Quattro on a 56 plate and yesterday I noticed the temp gauge has stoped working, the car isn't over heating or anything, just wondering if anyone has come across this before and know how to fix it?
cheers in advance
Dan

in what way "not working"? If it doesn't get up to temp, might be thermostat issues. If the kneedle is just dead, you might need somebody to read your ECU fault codes to work out what's wrong.

The needle is just dead not even flickering!

Worth getting a scan if you can as that will probably help you identify - but often when the temp gauge stops working, or works erratically its just a busted thermostat, simple job. My old Golf would never make it to running temperature but never overheated or anything, I knew it was the T/S so just left it, but then that was a banger and it didn't matter when stuff didn't work properly, would always sort it on a nicer car lol

Great thank fella's I will get it to my master tech pal to have a look at!
