Ok I need to know what's the crack with the ambient temp sensor ?

My fans run all the time when the ignition is on and there isn't a outside temp showing on the trip.. Fans are running full whack

My buddy scanned the car with his gadgets and said it was the ambient temp sensor !? How can I get to it and where is it to change ?!

Help appreciated !!

I hope it's not the dreaded cooling fan resistor issue:(
Had this on my old '56 FR, ended up costing my firm 2 new fans and an ecu.

Hmmmm I have no idea what you do ? So it's bumper off job and change the part ?

Is bumper off and you should see it. I don't have a picture but you'll figure out once you'll see it.

Right ok ! Is it a Specalist part ? Only from Audi ?

Its not that difficult to remove the front bumper. The thing is to identify all the screws that hold it in place and to be carefull when removing it, not to scratch it.
About the sensor also can be easily removed. Just have to find the part number. I'll try to find a picture of my car with the front removed and point you the place where the sensor is.

LE: Not my car but you can see where the sensor is positioned.
