Hello all

I'm hoping that someone can tell me where the temp sender is located on the engine as I think it's not working as my S3 has started to use a lot of fuel.

on passanger side near air box and engine its pushed into coolant hose there should be green plug.

Make sure the systems not pressurised before you do it, lol, so take the coolant cap off first.

does the ECU use the temp sender for fuelling? or is it just the DIS that uses it so you know when its warmed up?

Believe it uses it to seen when its warmed up etc. Doesnt the ecu use the something in the fuel tank or sumet like that.

It uses the temp sender to see when the car is warm it's like driving round with the choke on if it's not working.
