Just wondering if anyone has any experience, thoughts on this?
I have a manual TDI Quattro, I love my car and its exactly the car I want. However due to illness, I am potentially looking at having to change to an auto, yet as know they don't make a quattro DSG, I am in a bit of a dilemma.
I have read the thread for the lad who changed his S3 to DSG with paddles etc, but was wondering if anyone has done the TDI conversion?
I dont need flappy paddles (although would be nice, but to keep costs down I would avoid them), and obviously would have my box to be able to sell to contribute to the costs.
I wouldnt be able to do this myself, so would be looking at a specialist to do it, I have read Storm Developments have done these types of conversions, so I will be giving them a shout this week to see what the possibility of it is.
However I imagine the only TDI box is a non 4wd one, and would the S3 box ratios not work?
Just really wondering what the possibiities potential costs are, bit of discussion really from those with more knowledge than me.. before I have to give in and look to buying an auto 2wd'er. I hate 2wd cars, they just feel so flimsy
