TDI 140 - DPF or Cat

Hi guys,

Just bought a 2007 A4 TDI 140 BRE, just wanted to double check if this is a DPF or a Cat? Build sheet contains "7GN - Emission Standard EU4, DPF preparation", which to my understanding meant prepared for DPF, but not fitted. I believe 7GG means one is fitted.

The unit appears to be quite short and stubby, I can't see any pipes or wires coming from it:

It's a cat.
The BRE doesn't have a DPF right up to the end of the production run. In the UK at least.

You want to get rid of that EGR valve and cooler too.
