T3 turbo upgrade

I came across this on ebay,would this be of any benefit for an S3,heres the link

Wouldn't bother personally. Jap repro turbo. compressor housing cast in 2 parts. Seen these split after a month of use also suspect oil seals. Also manifold known to crack.

Some of the yank civic boys are running them. Some good stories, but too many bad for my liking.

I think there is a serious point to make here:

XS Power are Chinese copy turbochargers. Do not, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCE BUY ONE.

These turbochargers are designed for diesel engines, they are then copied ( using poor quality materials and internal clearances) and sold as performance gasoline units. Do not buy one.

When I worked for Garrett I saw too may people spend a lot of money only to end up with damaged / ruined engines as a result.

Turbocharging is not cheap. If you cut corners with ebay units, you will get burned.

I’m not preaching only sharing some peoples painful experiences.
