So, to switch on HBA, you push the stalk forwards and an indicator light comes on, on the dashboard. Any ideas how to deactivate HBA without flashing the headlights? TIA

Use vcds and turn it off like I did. You then get a tick box on mmi to turn off/on

You just pull the stalk towards you as if you're flashing the main beam.
Neil.

Thanks, I'll give that a go again.

The reason why I'm asking is I was doing some cross country driving ( so HBA set to on ). Then as I drove into the suburbs wanted to switch HBA off, but the only way I have managed to do it is to pull the stalk backwards ( towards me ) but I'm sure this also flashes the lights. As there was someone in front of me, I didn't want them to think I was flashing them ( and being a knob ).

I cant understand why youd want to turn off . ? In built up areas with street lights it should not activate
