I currently have a 2009 A3 2.0 tdi on 152k, I’m mainly doing city driving with a 400 mile round trip 7/8 times a year, so a bit worried about the dpf. Only getting about 37mpg. need a decent mpg as I’m at uni but also want something that’s not slow.
would it be worth swapping to a 1.8 TFSI for my driving style? Or just getting the dpf gutted on this car so I don’t have to worry about it blocking with city driving.

I doubt you'll see allot difference on the 1.8 tbh, do some research on various models mate as petrol is cheaper but generally less mpg as we know, difficult as we're getting butt fecked everyday for owning a derv.
