Super sports seats

Hi there,

I have just bought an S1 and have the super sports seats fitted.

I'd like to get the gloss black seat backs painted body colour.

Has anybody got a clue how to take them off?

Someone happened to ask the exact same Q on the a1-forum the other day.
I'll screenshot the response as the image is only visible to members over there.

That was me too.

Using the pic supplied i tried to get them off tonight but no joy so was casting the net wider to see if anyone had actualy done it and could offer advice.

Thanks anyway, maybe i just need to be braver with my plastic trim tools.....

Ah right - lol! I did wander given how similar the question was.

My only suggestion would be to see if the paint shop/upholsterer you plan to use knows any tricks - if they are going to get paid to spray they should be happy to help pop the covers off (unless you plan to spray them yourself?).
