Hi all, may be a silly question but first time I’m replacing a tyre and my current tyres are pilot sport 4s 93y.

Can anyone explain the difference between the two in the photo?

I’ve read about 97 is rated for more load but the 93 one specifically says Audi so I guess I’m meant to get that one? Lol

I know I should probably just get like for like and it’s only £2, but would like to understand it for the future.

Thanks in advance.

Then just look at your own tyres...

Your missing my question, I know both tyres will fit and be ok, I’m after the difference between the two apart from load rating, why does one say it’s specifically for Audi? Does it matter if mine are all y93 and I put a y97 on!

if your current tyres are 93y I would personally match the other corners, 93y is a load rating of 650kg and 97y is 730kg the 97y is an Audi approved tyre thats it really, just them over rating everything. also you are good to 186mph on a 93y.

Exactly what I was after cheers, think I’ll go for the 93’s since that’s whats on.
