    just picked up my 2001 A3 1.8 today and love it, so far the only problem i have is cant get the drink holder thing on the dash to come out :huh: how do i fix it?

    Common fault. Can't remember what the fix was... try searching 'cup holder' on the forum!

    do all a3/s3 come with cup holder? my 2000 s3 dont,, not that ive found?

    as said - common fault, when mine stuck i kept tapping it (you'll feel like a muppet for ten minutes) but then it released, the mechanism gets a bit sticky and jams up.

    give it a good clean out and you should be alright

    i'll second that. the sad thing is my mk4 1998 golf i had a few years ago had cupholders... damn you audi!!!

    got it out, sprayed it with lube and it still doesnt come out...should it be spring loaded?

    get some stereo keys or a couple of thin knives n yank it out. then lube it all up n shizzle

    managed to get it completely out lubed it up but when i put it back in and then try to gett it out it doesnt budge
