Hi Guys,

Does anyone know how to do a software update on the DSG not a gearbox remap where paprmeters are changed.

Just want it to be on the latest version so it runs smoother ect.

Is it easy ?

Is there a high upfromt cost ?

Wanted to do this on a DIY baisis.

Then update will be good for you, i had 2007 dsg and replaced it for a 2012 one, works better on Drive mode, fuel effecientwise.

Think you would need Odis to do this. Don’t think it can be done through vagcom.

Perhaps @DJAlix could clarify?

Dangerous to do a DIY software update so I would seek professional help, mainly because the tools needed are not within a DIY budget. Official VW group service tool is needed together with access to the VW group network for firmware files.
