Take it thats it's a BAM engine then if it has the variable cam timing.

Could be low oil pressure as the cam timing actuator is operated by pressurised oil. Also could be a faulty N205 valve. How many miles has the car done.

73k, no oil warning lights or anything? Full service history? Only thing I can complain about is the revs hang on gear change? Fitted a boost gauge vacuum seems good boost seems steady? Yes it's a bam engine. Fitted a new clutch switch so it's not that. Kinda scratching my head at the mo buddy....
