Can anyone help identify what this is, I’m really worried. Started suddenly today, only happens when I accelerate and the revs go above 1500. When you release accelerator, it continues for a second and slows down until it fades (like something spinning and slowing down)
Also happens in Neutral when stationary
Mileage 73,000.

Thanks,
Ry

Urmm not easy to know, maybe turbo impeller catching the sides.

Aux belt catching or worn, tensioner.

Sounds like a belt slipping?

Thanks!
Took it to the garage and they think it’s the alternator belt, (or some kind of bearing or pulley, can’t remember) there’s some brown dust there. It’s booked in for next week, I’ve left it with them so won’t drive it anymore until it’s replaced

Alternator or compressor pulley probably, good luck.
