Hi all First post here. I bought a neat little Ming Blue A3 1.8 t back in November, found the forum useful for lots of stuff but I can't find someone with a similar problem so thought I'd ask away.. Went on a trip to Worcestershire at the weekend, driving no harder than usual. On the way up, perfect. About 30 miles back though and the shifter got stiffer and stiffer when changing gear. When I pulled over to check it out, putting the car in reverse was impossible without slamming the stick into gear (pedal fully depressed, half depressed, tried both). Shifting up and down is stiff but silent, once in the gear there's no problems.. Shifting into reverse makes a god awful clunk noise followed by a crunching sound. Once in, again, no problem reversing. Any ideas?
