Stereo code.

I am looking at replacing my head unit with a factory fitted CD player, but the guy selling it has not got the code!!!!!!!!!!!

Are these easy to de-code? Is it a matter of taking to local audi dealer? If so how much do they charge?

Or do i stay well clear of it?
