Steering wheel swap issues

im trying to swap my 4 spoke se wheel for a 3 spoke i bought. I was told you could swap the airbag covers over but the new 3 spoke cover i bought looks like it fixes different to my current airbag.
What do i need to make this fit?

That's a really nice looking wheel have you managed to remove the cover from the existing airbag? I was going to do this myself but chickened out for fear of setting the airbag off.

I havnt managed to remove it. This is what i need help with.

Ok, on your existing airbag you can see the black lugs/ tabs poking through the metal. You can squeeze these with a screwdriver and work them out to release the cover. Looking at your replacement though the lugs / tabs are not in the same place so I don't think it's the right one sadly

Probably just going to buy a replacement airbag. Hope i can get my money back from the cover.

I've just checked eBay quickly and the covers listed don't show a picture of the back of the cover.

It's a shame as I had one, sold it on eBay a few months ago, only for it to be confiscated and destroyed by the shipping company. Apparently they don't like shipping explosives or something!

Can i use this one?
My wheel is mfsw so i can just use my airbag harness. Correct or no?

Can anyone shed any light on if the above airbag without mfsw plug will fit my wheel with mfsw if i use my harness?

It certainly looks like it ought to work, the connections from the yellow connector to the airbag should be the same. It'll just be additional connections for the buttons that your cable has.

If it were me I would give it a punt. When you have it your could inspect the connections to make sure they go to the same pins on the yellow block
