Steering rack

Has anyone here got a problem with there steering rack creaking and if so what did you do to get it put right

Hi Jimmy,

This is a special Audi undocumented feature. I had the issue on my A4 Cab (2003) and they tried to resolve it by fitting 2 new racks. There is a modified part available which fixes it, the noise is caused by faulty valves in the rack. I was assured by Audi that there was no chance of it failing.
