steering rack

Hi does anyone know if the S4 steering rack part number 8E2 422 052 TX is the same as on the s3?

no its not they mount differently. s4 bolts under the bulkhead and the s3 sits on the subframe!

oh no. thought it was a long shot.
I need an new one and there is one for the s4 on ebay, new for £50.

i got my rack off 4rings spares on ebay, £125 brand new genuine audi part, had it fitted the other day

audi wanted about £500 for the same thing!

Try searching for TT (Q225) racks as well, they are the same, there seemed to be more around when I was looking.
