steering rack differences?

I'm going to be changing my steering rack shortly. I've got a replacement sitting but I'm wondering if there's one I can fit with a quicker ratio?

You want the one without steering damper from a TQS/S4 after 2000 or there is an early one that has no damper which i fitted to my TQS that was light and quick but made my car understeer like mad due to the given weight and quattro !!

theres a thread some where with part numbers of which i fitted i did this job twice and actually its not that bad of job as it seems you might struggle on your back as theres a bolt buried you have to get from underneath the car up behind where the cat is its a fidlly job that requires a wobbler and a long extension !!
