Starter motor.....

My a3 makes a funny noicse on start up, so im guessing its the starter motor. My A3 is a 2001 with 75k on the clock, its probably the original 1?! Would a starter from say Car spares or GSF be good enough or do I go genuine Audi? What do you think......

common problem

mine was fixed by taking it apart and regreasing the gears.

really easy job, once you have the starter motor off you cant really go wrong
