Hi everyone, long time lurker here!
The start stop on my 2012 black edition has failed. Came up with the error msg after a long drive.
Fitted a new sensor but still no joy. I have Carista so can reset fault code etc.
guessing it’s the washer on the selector shaft that has gone walkabout unless there is anything else that needs checking etc?
I did read somewhere that it can be ‘coded’ out using VCDS?
I am not too bothered about getting it working but would be good not to get the error message come up on the screen every time especially when I come to sell it!
    Any advice would be great.
    Cheers in advance.

Just get it remapped mate. Mine was very erratic but since the remap has behaved faultlessly

What does start and stop fault code have to do with a remap?
