Sportback and water in boot.

I have had my S5 Sportback for a couple of months and I still don't have the knack for opening the tailgate when it is or has been raining and NOT getting water pouring into the boot. Is there a knack or is this just the way it is?

Probably the way it is. After I wash mine I open the tailgate just a bit whilst I am drying the rest of the car. Then I slowly raise it fully up, and if I'm lucky the last drips will fall into the channels rather than the interior.

Totally agree.

Only way I can stop an unwanted shower is to open @ 6 inches, hold for 10 seconds and then raise fully.

Either that or carry a shower cap

Swap it for a coupe. Problem solved
