Split turbo pipe?

How can i tell if my car has a split turbo pipe? lots of wooshing sound from turbo but no power.

a boost gauge or vagcom should be able to tell you what your boosting, if it is substantially lower than normal you know the boost is escaping or is not being generated e.g faulty turbo, split/loose pipe etc.

How do you test boost pressure in vcds? Iv got the latest one but still getting used to how to use it full. what settings is it under? Thanks
