Hey,

I have an S5 4.2L V8 2010 model which I purchased recently, the problem I am having with it is that none of the speakers work except the one in the middle of the dashboard, none of the door speakers, tweeters or rear speakers are working...

I'm not sure what to do about this as it's very odd how only one speaker is working and none of the others are.

Any advice would be hugely appreciated

What does VAG COM say?

Is it B & O or standard ?

Stab in the dark but sounds like the amplifier may be down.

Have a firkle in the NS of the boot and check the connections - do a re-seat as an IT engineer would say (take them out blow on them and reconnect)

Hope you get it sorted.

At least you can listen to that V8 growl:respekt:

Thanks for replying!

It's the standard speaker system, it's odd how only the one speaker is working.

I'm going to be completely honest here, this is my first Audi so I'm not exactly sure what the VAG COM or the NS is, any further explanation there would be a huge help! :culpability:

That V8 is quite a nice replacement sound for now :hubbahubba:

No problem.

VAG COM is the Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG) Communication (COM) device that reads faults with your car (VCDS is another name), don't worry if you haven't got one most Audi specialist garages will sort you out or there is a link at the top of the page for members who will help for a few beer tokens usually.

It should tell you what faults your car has.

NS is just the Near Side or passenger side of your car - drivers side is Off Side (OS). Open the boot look left, behind the wheel arch and there's a panel that will come off - look in there (say OMG there's loads of stuff) and Bob's your uncle.

Only thing I think about the dash speaker is there is no balance control for it so that's why I think the amp may be at fault.

Good luck

Hi mate, I’ve recently just bought a 58 S5 and I’ve had something similar although it was just the speakers on the left that were working, did you find any problems in the boot at all?

Ps: that V8 sounds amazing! My first Audi as well as I’ve only ever had BMW’s
