Spare wheel

Im running 18s with 235 40 18 tyres i think

No way no how will it fit in the spare wheel well

Has anyone got a 18 spare wheel in the hole?
If so what size tyre..or what modifiication to the well was done

Pointless me even having the spare wheel in if it is the wrong size lol

Strange, I have full size 18" spare with 235/40/18 in the hole no probs. Avant too

No problem here Craig either, factory 18" dtm / special ed wheel with 235/40 18" ........

When you say 'swop the trays over' is there a 'liner' (for want of a better description) in your well ? Theres nothing in mine, just a couple of pads for the wheel to rest on and the long location/retaining stud to which the plastic retainer is screwed on.

I'd post a pic but don't have the car with me today, will do later tho.

I mean, the black try where the wheel sits in, maybe there was different types..with a bigger circumfrance to fit the bigger wheel

Not saying there is, just trying to rule things out lol

There's no tray or liner actually in the spare well itself on mine, just the steel of the spare well pressing. It has the slim tray (can just about store a road atlas and a couple of other flat things in there! ) above the well that's just below the rear deck and the fold up carpeted cover

I have the avant & can't get the full size wheel in the well, can only get the skinny space saver in.

I got a full size special edition 18" spare in mine
Wheel is spanking new too never touched

Hmm it must be something to do with the well itself then
I.e two different sizes?

I can fit a full size wheel in mine.....17" though but I bet it will fit both an 18" & 19" in there. The polystyrene insert in my boot looks like it's for a removable towbar and both my jack and tools are attached to the side of the rear wheel well.

My avant came from factory with full size wheel , 18" rim with a 235/40 18 tyre no probs at all.
