Spare tyre in an Avant

Hey folks,

Just wondering if its a space saver type spare or a full size wheel in the boot? mine will unfortunately come with the kit rather than the spare, so im going to source a wheel myself, but i have a audi 17" alloy in the shed, so if a full size wheel can fit in the boot then im laughing!

Ive been stuck by the roadside in the past with a flat and the kit has been useless.

Space saver in mine

 

Space saver in my S4 Avant. I have 19" wheels.

 

If you have 16" wheels a full size one will fit in the wheel well, any bigger and they are too big,high for the well.

 

I have 19's and a space saver so not so sure about the above statement re over 16" wheels.

I should really remove mine to save weight :

The Dunlop tyres on my 19's are run-flat's and hence can do 50miles @ 50mph the same as the spare.

 

I have 18's with a space saver. My farthers new A3 comes with runflats, although there is room in the boot for a space saver.
