@jassyo06 @q5man @cuke2u @Tashfeen @Jimbob76 I'll just put this in here ... http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=5178554&postcount=22
. I might try the mix. My only reservation about BSD / V07 combo is the beading. It wasn't as 'tight' as I would've wanted it to be. My mixes were 50/50. However, it might be down to how much product I actually sprayed rather than the mix. I will try again though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lovely Cupra in a very nice colour @Bristle Hound - looked at the estate (ST) version of yours in the same colour before I ended up going for the S3. Loved my old 2006 SEAT Leon 2.0 TFSI Sport with factory-fit BTCC body kit (wouldn't have kept it for 10 years if I didn't), but the literal pull of 4 wheel drive was too strong for me after I drove both. Was v. impressed with the Cupra though, and that's a cracking example you've got there. I have a lot of respect for the SEAT brand and I do like the lack of 'snobbery' associated with it. I've had more negative comments about being 'an Audi driver' in the last 6 months than I had in a whole decade of being a SEAT pilot! I'm not a mixologist like yourself when it comes to last stage protection (I do muck about with snow foam mixes though - 50/50 Bilt Hamber Auto Foam/ Surfex HD being my current favourite). I take the view that a LSP product has to stand up on it's own two feet, and if it doesn't then there are other great products out there that do. I'm not a BSD 'hater', I have some in the garage, and I have no issue with the application or finish it delivers - it's just the 'grabby' feel it leaves on the paint that prevents me from loving it. I now find I'm struggling to use it up as I have other products I prefer. Gyeon Cure once a month and Done & Dusted for the weeks between is making me happy at the moment, but always happy to learn from the experiences of others like yourself mate and sounds like you've found ways to overcome the main drawback of BSD, so kudos!
Still using t hese over Fusso Dark/KOG: BSD/V07 - still the best IMO BSD/Done and Dusted - Excellent BSD/Adams - Good in the summer BSD/Demon Shine - For use on others' cars, saves the BSD.
Haha, the alchemist is back online and in form...woohoo. Have my mixes of BSD/V07 which I like a lot, but like Reload and am yet to try my Cure that has arrived. Think I will use reload/cure...mmm, another mix once a month and D&D in between along with above mixes
@Tashfeen - This is the beading I was getting on BSD/V07 mix on the wife's old MINI Might be worth another shot buddy with less product @Jimbob76 - Thanks for the kind words my friend Don't talk to me about Audi drivers ... lol (only kidding, I think ) I have way to many QD's and TBH likr playing around with the mixes Durability doesn't concern me too much as every wash its always another mix just like a QD.Haven't had a problem mixing the mixes as BSD is always in 'em Like you I had a bottle of BSD on the shelf & didn't reach for it beacuse of it grabby nature 'neat', but the mixes ahave solved that IMHO Give it a go buddy & let us know your thoughts @pxr5 - A man after my own heart ! @q5man - Nice one - keep the pic's & thoughts coming ^ Your not allowed to comment as you haven't even tried BSD let alone a mix Lol
Nice day today so I managed to get the car done Half a bottle of BSD & half a bottle of Meguiars Gold Class QD mixed: It went on like a hot knife through butter spray and wipe, no dragging and no buffing off, I'm very happy with the results for the effort I had to put in!...bring on the rain As I was doing it, a guy walked past with his girlfriend and said "I can smell perfume" then saw me on the drive and laughed "It's him"
Walking towards my car after work today and one of the lads I was walking with said "****** hell your car looks shiny" So I told him what I'd done, he said "Ohh I'll be trying that"...he's just bought a BMW 530d M Sport in the grey colour....the mixing bug is spreading lol
Good work on the evangelising, but then. It difficult as the proof is in the pudding...oh and the shininess and mega beading
Thought I would try a mix I haven't tried in a while today 50/50 mix of Sonax BSD & Adam's Detail Spray Haven't used it for a while. I forgot how nice it was to use TBH Great super slick glossy finish & the smell just wow. Coconut mixed with tutti frutti yummee ! I had to ******* Darcy as she was having a lick of the paintwork after I applied it, it smelled that nice lol A few reflection shots after application
I’ve recently used BH Double Speed Wax on my car. Would it be ok to use BSD/V07 on top of it after my weekly maintenance wash?
Thanks mate, I’m actually a 2019 Cupra 290 owner but joined over there as really like this detailing section (aswell as DW of course) Il try the bsd mix on the weekend

@bigup - Nice Cupra buddy I also too have a Cupra. A 300 with manual gearbox in mystery blue so you more than welcome over here in the big VAG club https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/bhs-mystery-blue-mk3-seat-leon-cupra-300-5-door.340323/
thought i ask this here. We know that Beadmaker is glossy, but how does it compare to the gloss of BSDV7 ?
Interesting to hear that John doesn't recommend mixing products . Sent from my Nokia 8 using Tapatalk
Won't be doing the Beadmaker/BSD combo then ... Done the 50/50 mix of BSD & CP Reload quite a while a go & worked well on SWBMO old JCW Worked well enough for me
