Sometimes car takes a few seconds to start after a journey

Right so I've searched the forum and can't find anything to match what I am seeing in my car. So if I take my car out for a drive say 2 miles or even 22 miles it's fine,but if was to to go out within the next hour after the drive sometimes my car struggles to start,not all the times,maybe 2 out of 10 times. It gives the impression like it has weak heater plugs on a winters morning,that's the best that I can describe it,has any one else had this issue or know what it is?? 2005 a4 sline 1.9tdi

Try changing the temp sensor and thermostat! That's if the battery is ok!

@darren t cheers mate,new thermostat fitted about 6 months ago but will look into the temp sensor,is there an exact name for that sensor?
