Interesting reading. Although still not seen any information on whether start/stop can be permanently disabled through VCDS/VCP/OBDeleven.
I have it disabled on my A3 and it'd be nice to do the same on the A4.

Not that the start/stop system bothers me in anyway, as again I have that magic digit, but I can't see why someone would not be able to recode the car to turn it off permanently or produce a device that plugs into the obd that also turns it off on a once use basis. I am sure the Audi systems don't vary that much..
Kufatec do a device for the MQB chassis that disables it permanently and I used this on my A3. However they don't currently have a solution for the MLB chassis. It's absolutely not a massive issue - but if I could find a way to deactivate it I would.
