Smoked my headlights.....Then changed my mind!!!!!!

I wanted a more sporty look form the front of my car, i thought darker headlights are a must. They are to bright and in your face!!

So it was either Lamin X or Split lamps and paint housings matt black.

So i decided to tint first and see what i thought...................

I loved it with lights on BUT didnt like the yellow glow they give when lights are turned off, so i ripped it off!!!!

Looks like i am splitting the lamps open instead

I really liked it, see what you mean about the browny-yellow though

Cant see it being that much of an issue, barely noticeable, I'd have kept them on

How much is the Lamin-x and is it a sheet or pre-cut?

It wasnt pre-cut it was just a sheet ( lamin x copy stuff )

It was easy enough to put on to be honest, around 1 hour for both lamps.

I paid £13.50 for the film off the eBay.

I just did mine in light tint, genuine lamin-x pre cut from the USA, no yellow tinge here,

I have come across a set of headlamps BUT with the black housings @ £150 so might just by them

Here is mine with no yellow tinge to be seen

Still really like the look actually, I've got them in a draw at the moment stuck to a piece of grease proof paper just on the off chance I wanted to put them back on

wanting to do mine soon, was looking at the fly eye kits, also thought about painting the insides but seems alot of hassel when yoiu can just use a fly eye kit or laminX

Hmmm bit concerning this as I'm thinking about doing mine soon, also Dolphin Grey.

I think they're just too dark, certainly look darker than Matt's Light smoke?

Search for fly eye kits, basicley is what its called, looke dark but light shines through from the other side, like a flys eye
