smell of fumes/petrol in cabin

Hi - newbie here. I have recently bought a 51 reg S3, 99k, (always wanted one!) and there's quite a strong fumes / petrol smell in the cabin, mainly at low speeds. I've just had the exhaust checked out and nothing wrong there. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.Matt

maybe the evap pipe has split, ... under the coolant top up cover

it could also be a split breather pipe maybe??
