Side window algae

Not sure if this has been covered before but on my Wife's A1 there is green 'algae type' stuff on the side windows.

Quite easy to clean with a microfibre but comes back quickly.

Is there a way to stop/slow it?

Anti bac anything .

Use an apc on it with a soft brush then wash off. Then see if it still comes back first. Better to get rid of what it is rather than cover it up. Maybe try some tar and glue remover after this step lightly. I did this on the rs3 and the marks didnt come back, then i used optimum opti seal on them to protect and they have been fine since.

Thanks guys, I'll give them a scrub and then treat with some anti bac as recommended.
