Shuffle songs on iPhone

when I plug in my iPhone is there a way to shuffle the songs on the MMI,as it always starts with the same track starting with the letter A

Not that I've found. Have to get phone to shuffle, through imusic

Not got the answer here I'm afraid but I've practically given up with my iPod or phone and tend to always just use the SD card - it's much faster, has better search facilities and always remembers to play where it left off from (annoying when Ace of Bass keeps playing lol !).

You can't.
When I plugged my iphone in to the standard MMI it would crash it on a regular basis, therefore all iphone music now on SD card and shuffle away...............anyway Aqua can get boring!
