Shudder when switch off

When i knock engine off in my car it gives a small shudder/rattle, unless i switch off with the clutch pedal pressed down,is this normal ?

Did this in my 1.9TDI as well - I used VAG-COM at the time as I was worried and no faults were found.

My 1.6 doesnt do it, maybe a diesel thing?

It's probably slack in the DMFW causing the issue. If it's not affecting the driveability then it's all good

DOESNT affect the car in any way at all.......just thort its something like the anti-shudder valve on its way.

Mines always done this in 2 yrs, typical derv noises if you ask me, hasnt been a problem to date, sometimes this forum does make us a tad paranoid dont you think.

My 2.0 TDI does this as well, so does my girlfriend's Seat Ibiza 1.9 TDI so I just assumed it was a normal thing for diesel cars to do
