With a few exclusive paint builds coming through now, thought I would start this thread. I know there is the picture gallery thread, but maybe useful to have these in a single thread. 1 pic here of my Merlin Purple and will post more following the detailers magic in next week or so.

If I’m honest I’m colour blind so it just looks black to me but it really shows up the lines, wish I could see the full effect as everyone raves about merlin. Kyalami is good for me in car parks!

This Viola RS3 is not ‘exclusive paint’…….the car was built black and has been taken to bits and resprayed. Can’t see why anyone in their right mind would buy it. Still baffles me why you would do that to a new car but I guess whatever floats some peoples boats. Would also add that it’s been on the market a while and asking price has dropped. Who would have guessed?

Absolutely 100% agree
Cant see why anyone in their right mind would paint a brand new car, you will NEVER get into all the crooks and cranies to prepare the paint for a colour change
Sheer stupidity in my book
 
Saying that.........................In 1991 we changed the colour of TWO brand new Porsche 964 Carrera RS's (to be used as race cars) from Rubystone to a colour not unlike Kyalami Green........................now (if not raced :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: ) worth around £250,000 each

And then the following year we strapped a pair of whipple superchargers on it and painted it black

It is pealable paint though...

Although my mate plastidipped his car and it took a day to get it off when he was bored with it.

At 7k and after watching the video process where all the doors etc are off I’d say it’s a more durable paint than a plastidip job.

I just ordered inozetek sand wrap, in 2 weeks my car will be wrapped so it will be quite a unique color
If I were to order my car I would have gone with an exclusive paint but “unfortunately” it was one in stock as I needed a car ASAP (someone totaled my previous car ‍♂️) but it’s nice having a thread just for unique color!

I don’t haha it will cost me around 3.2K£ but I’m not from the UK as most members are and where I’m from most things are way more expensive usually due to taxes (a “vursprung” RS3 is around 124K£).

Yeah sure, I’m from Israel, taxes on new cars are really high over here (122%, meaning 2.22 times the cars value). There are worse places but we’re up there with the highest for sure ‍♂

Not an exclusive paint but a unique color for sure, I’m really happy with the results, it’s high gloss sand :)

As promised, the first photo I took is in the sun and these photos are in the sunset (the color becomes a lot darker, at night with orange lights it becomes brown pinkish, I love the color range)

There's something about this colour that makes no sense at all, but just looks amazing. I thought the Mocca Latte exclusive paint was interesting, but this is even better.

And the lighting in the photos really works with the lines of the car. Congratulations!
