Shocks and springs please!

Hi Damian

Its about time I actually did something about my suspension considering it now squeaks when i get in and out.

Could you add the numbers up for a set of Bilstein B8s for S3 8l and the H&R 25mm lowering springs please.

I am also thinking about bushes, but i'm not sure whether to go for powerflex of stick with OEM...?

Hi Alex,

Bilstein B8 dampers - £500.00
H&R springs - £186.50

Personally I think the Powerflex bushes make a massive difference and improvement to the handling and feel but it is personal choice.

yeah i have heard this, im just worried about driving along the road with everything in the cab rattling about because of the hard bushes? is this a stupid worry?

No they're not that bad. Yes they're stiffer but it's more just less play in the suspension.

Thanks Damian, it all arrived Friday in the end, looks great. Have to wait a few weeks before i can get it fitted though, think i am going to stick with OEM bushes tho, cheers

Hi Damian

Finally got it all fitted, I went all out

New;

Neuspeed ARBs, ARB bushes and droplinks
Adjustable Tie Arms
Bilstein B8s
HnR springs
OEM Bushes
OEM Top Mounts
OEM Ball Joints

and got it all realigned today,

Bearing in mind all the old bits had done 73K...

Feels great, bit firmer but not uncomfortable and doesnt roll or understeer around the corners, so much more confidence in it now
