She has arrived

I have my moments ginger. Still a bit raw at times but trying to focus on future and family. Life goes on and no point moping for too long. Had 8 bad months and in her last few weeks Mrs did tell me to to get myself a replacement newer more reliable model! Is there a section on this Forum?
I think that might be a different forum, you could start a new thread and see what happens

Bit soon perhaps but who knows.

Wanted hot young model, must be a bit of a goer, curves in all the right places, must enjoy being driven hard etc etc .... This could become like the Mono Pur thread.

I am keeping my head down in case they say it's here and you have to have it. Looking on the back of the order form it says you should effectively take the car within 21 days of delivery

Im due to collect my car late Jan, car arrived end of Nov - no pressure from dealer to collect early (est date on original order form was March).

Interestingly I signed my finance paperwork early 2 days ago, apparently to lock in the existing finance deal, but I suspect end of year target may have something to do with this.

Anyway car apparently will not be registered until later next month/at collection.

Company car goes back soon, I could hang onto it but lease allows me to send back early.

On Audi finance with GFV. Plan to see out the term.

We'll wait and see about that, my own opinion is the GFV is generous. 53% of the base price, 46% of the price with my options after 4 years 40k, in my mind sounds like a deal hard to beat.

In 3/4 years time a 2016/65 plate WILL be worth less than a 2016/16 . Feel free to wait and see but it's actually a no brainier all other things being equal.

Negotiate a better GFV to take it early, save yourself hiring a piece of junk and save your future pride and joy sitting in an Audi car park open to the elements, any damage and potential test drives (I test drove a customers car once just days before they were due to purchase and didn't hold back either).
You know the cars that arrive with 20 miles and above have been used for testing.

I'd far rather get the car in early and into my garage knowing it's being looked after and maintained properly than have it sitting for two months.
Look at the OP's car, covers and bump strips removed. Shat on by seagulls, however many times, left until the 25th of February and then cleaned by the Audi "specialist" cleaners. By then the damage is done, and you may not notice when you collect.

Absolutely a no brainer, but not one that makes it worth waiting two months.
The no brainer is getting it early and looking after it as soon as possible.

I'm paying cash and it will be under cover. I am also noting mileage and will reject if anyone plays with it!

Your right about the test driving, my car was supposed to be kept wrapped up for my detailer. Dropped in the other day and it had most of film removed, 42 miles on clock! Still awaiting a specific response on the issue from the dealer - i.e. why?!!

I'm sure it will be under cover, until that one time you pop in past to check and it's just ten minutes ago been moved to accommodate some other car which explains the fact it's not under cover and it's got a few extra miles on the clock........
I wouldn't trust the dealers as far as you could throw them. I know a local detailer pretty well, and there are horror stories about the condition "new" cars from high quality marques (Audi being one of them) arrive to the detailer in.

I'll always collect as early as available, and never have the dealer clean it.
Maybe just me, but I'll always forego the extra few hundred pounds at the end of your three or four years ownership, in lieu of having care, custody and control of my car as soon as possible.

I wouldn't be waiting on the car. I would rather it loose a few hundred quid sittin in my drive than have a few hundred quid worth of corrective detailing etc to be done once collected. Plus..having it there and there be the slightest chance someone else would sit in it before me would be a killer..

Have to agree. I'd be picking it up tomorrow if it were me. The horror stories regarding paintwork alone would sway me. However, to think that they might just take it a wee run to keep it 'ticking over' would also confirm my decision. Go get it and enjoy it. A plates a plate!

Here is my car.just a few weeks after collection.

If I had a Dealer that offered to let me test drive a customers brand new car I would on ethical grounds not take them up on thier offer and then walk away & never use that Dealer .... that is shocking !!!!

Not all Dealers are that bad and if RG has a good relationship with his Dealer I'm sure they will be safely storing it under cover for him as advised. I've had a car safely stored by a Dealer for 3 months waiting for a new plate also and all was fine albeit it was stored with all protective film etc left on.

Same with pre-delivery cleaning, I've not had an issue with the last 3 cars from my Audi Dealer and my Detailer commented that the prep on my current car had not damaged it at all and the paintwork was generally in good condition. Of course no comparison to pro detailed & protected treatment but at least the Dealer had not made a dogs dinner of it.

So all comes down to individual Dealers IMO and history & experience (& trust) you have with them.

Oh dear. You or dealer?
Not sure  The car was shiny when collected so they did do something albeit not the £500 shine & protect thing. Could be me though as whilst I do use 2 buckets with hindsight perhaps I'm not getting the bulk of the dirt off first before using the mit. Sorted now though so let's see if I can keep it swirl free!

Not indoor and no covers.
Oh well, your dealers a good un, I'm sure they'll put any exposure issues right.

Why are these RS3's having the covers removed?
You can see that the TT next to it has the covers in place on bonnet and roof.......

Apparently it came in late just before the BH. Guy signing it in wanted protection removed before confirming it was OK. I can understand that. Back on Monday to have words with the boss. Very happy!

I am looking forward to driving her. Back again on Monday, may see if I can arrange a test drive have all but decided to keep wife's 15 plate A4 Sline COD . Kids can use it and I can when RS is not appropriate with certain clients.

Cheers

That Panther black RG?
I Jest looks great buddy.

Look forward to more pics not many mythos about with the black pack.

Is A4 a miss print or you got that was well as A3 just now?

Looks great am wishing I went grey wheels now too.

A3 that's good then no hassle having to sell it now. Is that the only car you have now RG?

The Alloys are Tit or Titanium Matt which most original rotors were on A3 and A7 Black editions we've had. All silver looks boring. Wondering if maybe I should have gone for Black ones??
