I'll be the first to admit that I always just stick my car into a garage if it needs anything, but I'm gonna have a go at servicing it myself this time. I also need to change the brake fluid. Is they anything untoward on the B6 or is it straight forward?

Straight forward.

Very easy car to work on I've found.
As for brake fluid, get a pressure bleeder. Makes your life so much better.

The service is so easy, there's even plenty of room to get to the oil filter!
Search Youtube for how to reset your service light.

as above!

easiest car i have done!

Very easy to do apart from removing the damn undertray!

2nd the awkward undertray esp when doing them on jacks and axle stands
