Service tomorrow ?.

My car is set on the long service interval & last weekend checked the service history & last oil change was done 10000 miles ago. 14 plate S3 done 24600 miles.
Car is booked in tomorrow at my garage to have the service done. Is it just oil/filter check & adjust etc or anything else required please?. Take it the garage will be able to set service interval to time & distance due to my usual driving of mostly short, stop start journeys.

I do 8000 per year, had my first oil change in March this year which as you say is just oil/filter. They told me that next year (year 2 which is what you are on now) is another oil change, then year 3 is the bigger one where they do all the other fluids etc. Oil service was about £206.

Also check the mmi to make sure they remember to reset the 'next oil/service' info, they forgot to do mine and had to send someone out to the car to do it whilst I waited.

If you do lots of short journeys get into the habit of turning the stop/start off, otherwise if it keeps cutting out the engine oil will never get to optimum temp and will not last as long!

..........fully recommended mate. They even have a wizard with the VCDS, done loads of little things for me in the past.

I use to have a similar relationship with my old Audi garage (owner was my old school teacher). He sold it to a big motor group and as a result you would be lucky if they would come out of the workshop to just give your car a quick look. You have to book in advance just for that.
