I dont know whether to get Audi to service my car or Nationwide (AA approved service centre) to do it......

Audi want £380 but Nationwide want just under £200 (with Tesco clubcard discount) for the major service + mot + brake fluid change.

Its just done 90k and has been serviced at Audi all its life until now. Its on longlife servicing at the minute too.

Im skint and could do with the money but that seems a hell of a lot just to stay loyal to Audi. Any advice?

I wouldn't go anywhere near Nationwide - unless you know the mechanics who will be working on your car personally and know that they won't stitch you up. Saying 'including MOT' in your post makes me thing that the £200 is bound to increase thanks to a failure of the MOT on something....

If you price it up - MOT should be about £44. The oil for AVS retail is around £40 - 50. The other consumables should be at least another £20 or so. Thats well over £100, leaving less than £80 in labour. Hmm.

Whereabouts are you in the country? There is bound to be a local specialist who will care a lot more for your car than either the Stealer or Nationwide. You won't get clubcard points - but your call will be looked after.

Is the MOT not £50.30(ish) now?
F*** me, it's gone up again. It was £44.15 last September. With inflation running at 3%, how can they justify a 13.9% increase.

That's over £150 a year just in MOTs for the fleet!

where abouts are you Will? Stoke Audi are doing very good deals at the moment!

yep where are you - recs will surely follow!

Nationwide!! I'm horrified you consider any of those highstreet places with an S3. Stick to the specialists, many of whom advertise on this very forum!!

You would be better of considering VW than Nationwide mate.
They will def be cheaper and they use all the same materials, after all they're VAG!

Right i decided to go for Audi in the end. Phoned up a few dealers and got a semi decent price of £250 + £77 brake fluid change + £50 MOT + £50 haldex oil change.

Haldex wasnt due just yet but i thought id get it all out the way at once. Then its back on with the mods!
